Uncle Hubba Needs You!

This was going to be my first video podcast. But video podcasts are just not in the cards this week, and being as the subject matter of this post has time constraints, I will have to do it the old fashioned way.

Yes she happens to be my cousin, and she also happens to be a very charming, driven, attractive young lady and the only lady to win the Ms. High School Rodeo South Dakota crown three years in a row. Hubba likes to bet on a winning horse.

At this very minute, Tara Trask and several members of her family are in fabulous Las Vegas, NV, where she is battling the other contestants for the Miss Rodeo America 2009 crown.

Of course she will have to win that one all by herself. Among other things, she will have to demonstrate precise horse(wo)manship, look good in various outfits, and demonstrate a degree of learnedness on the subjects of rodeo and world peace. (OK, I apologize for that one.)

But you, the HubbasHouse faithful, can help her win the People’s Choice Award! Much like American Idol, you can text your vote via your trusty cell phone for “Miss Rodeo South Dakota” to the number 73997.

Of course you could text your vote for “Miss Rodeo Other State Of Your Choice,” but there’s really no need to do that, now is there?

I know that we are just coming down from an election season that began three years ago, but this is a fun, light-hearted sort of election, and I’m sure you won’t mind voting one more time.
