Hubba’s House

The ESN; Stop the Presses

Elm Springs News

The kind citizens received more than two inches of rain Thursday and Friday nights, for which they are very thankful. They are maybe not as thankful for the wind which accompanied it.

Members of the long-dormant Country Red Hat organization dusted off their red hats for a trip to Rapid City Monday. First, Jean, Kellie, and Emily Linn, Maxine Smith, Sandy Fields, Dorothy Anderson, Carolyn Anders, and RoseMary Trask visited the Stephanie Trask residence in Rapid City, where they were hosted by Stephanie and friend Lynette Graf of Sturgis. After that, Jean, Kellie and Carol Linn, a friend of Carol’s whose name we cannot remember, Norma Pellegrin, Sandy Fields, Francis Kellum, Natalie and Pat Tines and RoseMary Trask went to the Fairway Hills party house where they were wined and dined and thoroughly entertained by the Red Hat Chili Peppers of Rapid City.

Clyde Arneson was a coffee visitor at the Lawrence Burke residence Saturday morning, and Lawrence visited the Russell Burmeister and Lawrence Burke residences in Wasta Saturday afternoon. Skyler Burke of Rapid City spent most of Sunday at the Lawrence Burke residence.

Lynn and Sandy Fields went to Enning Sunday to visit Brian and Lori Teller. The Tellers, who moved to Bison several months ago, were in Enning to take the skirting off of their old trailer house.

Kellie and Emily Linn went to Rapid City Wednesday, where Kellie dropped Emily off at the Jamie Brunsch residence. Emily spent most of the week with the Brunsch’s, and accompanied them to the Hills Alive concert in Rapid City, before being picked up Saturday by Kellie.

John and Jean Linn attended the Meade County Republican Picnic at the Schneider residence near Sturgis on Sunday.

Shirrise and Kassandra Linn left Thursday for Glen Rock, WY where they visited the Jim Magee residence.

Cary and Pam Tines and Monte and Loni Reichert of Hereford left Thursday on their motorcycles for Red Lodge, MT where they attended the Bear Tooth motorcycle rally. They returned Sunday. While they were gone, several of the Tines kids came to Elm Springs to install new seats and a new bumper on Cary’s truck. John Moore of Sutherland, NE was a supper guest at the Cary Tines residence Sunday night.

Matt Trask visited the Bonnie Timmons residence near Marcus Tuesday evening. Wednesday evening, Wade Wulf of Owanka and Pat and Nick Trask visited the Matt Trask residence. Bonnie Timmons and Austin Trask visited the Matt Trask residence Thursday evening, and Matt and Bonnie paid a visit to the “Upland Trask” residence Thursday night. Pete Bruch accompanied Matt to Rapid City on Friday, and Saturday evening, Matt attended a birthday party for Malcolm and Matthew Heathershaw at the Wall Rodeo Arena. On Sunday, Matt and Bonnie Timmons attended the Ft. Pierre to Deadwood Trailride Committee party in Ft. Pierre. Matt Trask visited the John Timmons residence Sunday afternoon.

In case it is unclear, our somewhat loveable resident hog Matt Trask finally put down his cookie long enough to notice a girl, and is now going out with Ms. Bonnie Timmons of Marcus. Apparently, things do change in Elm Springs once in a while.

MR Hansen of Rapid City visited the “Upland Trask” residence Tuesday evening, bringing Danny Doerr out for an extended stay. RoseMary and Julie Trask went to Rapid City for a doctor’s appointment Wednesday afternoon, while Pat and Nick attended a meeting in Union Center Wednesday evening. On Saturday, several of the “Upland Trasks” took advantage of the wet field conditions to make a trip to Alexandria to visit Sr. Maria Magdalena. They returned Sunday. Joseph Trask and Ryan Burkinshaw went swimming in Wall on Sunday.

The Kenny Wilsons will have to wash the stains out of their good shirts. On Saturday, they attended a barbeque and baby shower for Mandy Tschetter at the Roger and Yvonne Culver residence in Rapid City, and Sunday they returned to Rapid City for a barbeque at the Kevin Howland residence.

The kind citizens would like to extend their sympathies to the lovely Ms. Bonnie Timmons.

Wow!!!!! Congrats to you both Hubba. I have known Ms. Bonnie since she was born. I may be a little bit biased, but I think she is very nice young lady. Maybe she can help you with your taste in shirts.
