The ESN; Quiet 4th

Elm Springs News

The kind citizens are mostly “just busy haying,” as Peggy Gravatt put it.  They have to be industrious this year, to make the most of days when it doesn’t rain.
Several of the kind citizens attended the Wasta 4th of July festivities on Saturday.
Lawrence Burke attended the Harold and Vaudeth Oberlander 50th wedding anniversary party in Rapid City on Saturday.
Bob and Mary Linn of Conroe TX spent the whole week at the “Big House.”  Charlotte Wilsey and her girls visited the “Big House” Thursday.
The Andy Linns left Friday for the Black Hills, where they spent the weekend camping with the Brunsch’s, Jim and Jean Ross, Jerry and Nancy Cole, John and Kathy McCollum, Helen Arends, and others.
Sharon, Matthew and Micheal Larson left the Morris Linn residence for Arlington Monday.  Jen, Cameron, Brody and Madeline Magee of Glen Rock WY were guests at the Morris Linn residence Wednesday, accompanying Shirrise to Wall on Thursday.  Pat and Julie Trask were supper guests at the Morris Linn residence Thursday night.  The Sanden Simons’ and Jack Simons were supper guests Friday night.  Lonnie Arneson was a coffee guest Saturday morning, Matt Trask visited for dinner, Bunny Bail and her girls were afternoon visitors, and Jack Simons visited for supper before accompanying Shirrise to the 4th of July Talent Show in Wasta.  Bob and Mary Linn visited the Morris Linn residence Sunday.
Bridget, Patrick and Joseph Trask returned from Columbus OH on Thursday.
The “Upland Trasks” rescheduled the Ronald Reagan picnic to Saturday July 11th due to rain.  Visitors during the week included Morris Linn, Sally Cronin, Bob Cronin and company (no relation to Sally) of Rapid City.  Nick Trask attended the St. Thomas More class of ‘99 reunion in Rapid City on Friday and Sunday.  Steph and John Paul Trask visited the “Upland Trask” residence over the weekend.
The Philip Wilsons spent the weekend in Hoven SD helping Darrell and Norma Harer celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.  All of their children and grandchildren were present.
The kind citizens hope you have a wonderful week.
