Lynn and Sandy Fields, who often can’t be reached for news, reappear in the ESN with a vengeance this week, celebrating two 40th anniversaries in style. On Friday, they attended the 40th high school reunion mentioned above, that of Sturgis High School, where Sandy graduated. On Saturday, the Fields’ attended the Mustang Show and Shine in Sturgis before visiting Deadwood. Upon returning to Sturgis, they attended the Mustang races with Rita McVay before returning to the class reunion. Arriving home on Sunday, they elected to spend their 40th wedding anniversary quietly.

The Sam Johnstons attended the Wall Eagles Junior High football game against Philip in Wall on Monday.

After the garage sales, Shirrise and Jean Linn went to Wall to pick up Kassandra, visiting the Ryan Elshere residence Saturday evening. Morris spent Saturday night in Wall and returned home Sunday.

The “Upland Trasks” hosted a meeting Thursday evening. Marvin and Baxter Anders, Morris and Andy Linn, and Sam Johnston attended. Jerry Weiffels of MN arrived at the “Upland Trask” residence Friday and spent the remainder of the week. Weekend visitors at the “Upland Trask” residence were Steph and Julie Trask, Paul and Cindy Bruch and family, and MR and David Hansen, who accompanied a group of Mongolian visitors to a campsite on the Cheyenne River. Saturday night, the Hansens, the Mongolians, the Bruchs, the Smiths, Kenny and Janet Wilson and the “Upland Trasks” attended a Mongolian horhog picnic on the riverbottom.
