The ESN; Matched Bronc Ride

If the kind citizens don’t pay attention, summer will be gone before they know it. It seems to be going by rather fast.

Elm Springs got almost no rain this week, which helped the kind citizens begin putting up hay, which task will be really fun this year.

Marvin and Carolyn Anders attended the Matched Bronc Ride in Philip on Friday.

Baxter and Dunbar Anders and their roping horses visited Vernie and Carolyn Schnose near Hot Springs Sunday.

Clyde and Chase Arneson and Chrissy and Rylan Elshere met Connie Arneson in Wasta Friday to attend the Matched Bronc Ride in Philip, in which Ryan Elshere competed.

When called for news, Doris Burke said “You’ll have to make somethin’ up, I guess.”

The Ryan Elsheres attended and/ or competed in the Matched Bronc Ride in Philip on Friday, and visited the Gumbo Ranch on Sunday.

Chase Gravatt spent the week at the Larry Gravatt residence. On Tuesday Peggy and Ray Jondro went to New Underwood on business. RoseMary, Maria and Celine Trask visited the Larry Gravatt residence Wednesday to bring Peggy a birthday cake. On Saturday, Larry, Peggy and Ray met Amber, Abigail and Grant Miller of Denver, CO at Steele Fuegen’s baseball game in Rapid City. Steele had two runs and a hit. Carter Gravatt visited the Larry Gravatt residence Sunday morning, and Lane, Tucker and Jace O’Rourke visited Sunday afternoon.

The Andy Linns attended the Matched Bronc Ride in Philip on Friday. On Sunday, Jamie and April Brunsch of Rapid City visited and dropped off Zach, Logan and Kaley. They will be spending the week with Linns. Clyde Arneson visited the Andy Linn residence Sunday evening.

John and Jean Linn went to Rapid City Monday, where they picked up Laura and Katie Wilsey. The Wilsey Girls spent the week at the “Big House.” John and Jean took them back to Rapid City Sunday, before attending the Farm Bureau Picnic in Sturgis.

Shirrise Linn spent Wednesday night in Rapid City with Grandma Arlene Talley. Thursday she visited Ron and Colleen Dell of Texas, who were in Rapid City. Laura and Katie Wilsey spent Thursday night at the Morris Linn residence. Grandma Arlene Talley, Dayton Shannon, Deb Brookman and Cheryl Simons were all Friday supper guests at the Morris Linn residence. Amber Brookman of Rapid City spent Saturday at the Morris Linn residence, and Matt Trask was a dinner guest. Clyde Arneson was a Sunday morning coffee visitor. The Sanden Simons’ and Jack Simons visited Sunday, and Matt Trask once again showed up to eat Sunday night.

Pat Trask went to Pierre on business Friday. RoseMary Trask went to Rapid City Saturday. Visitors at the “Upland Trask” residence during the week included Morris Linn, Emil Magnuson and Frieda Tibbetts.

Matt Trask went to Rapid City on business Thursday. Friday evening, he gave Katie Sowers of Rapid City her first guitar lesson, near the Doppler “soccer ball” south of New Underwood. On Sunday he attended the Adam Rislov/Megan Lurz wedding shower in Philip, and visited the Todd Trask residence on the way home.

Kenny Wilson and Jim Smith went to Bassett NE on business Friday. Tyler and Saber Wilson of Wyoming visited the Kenny Wilson residence over the weekend.
