The ESN; Busy Busy!

Elm Springs News

The kind citizens experienced a rather drizzly, rather windy week this week.

Waylon Kenneth Wilson, son of Tyler and Heather Wilson of Wright WY was baptized Sunday morning at St. Margarets Catholic Church in Lakeside.

Clyde Arneson was a coffee visitor at the Cary Tines residence Saturday morning, where he had to “reintroduce (himself).”

Terri Ramsdell went to Rapid City Tuesday to have dinner with daughters Lauren and Kylie.  Terri’s friend Judy Ritter arrived at the Lonnie Arneson residence Friday to spend the weekend having fun.  Poor Lonnie apparently didn’t get to have any fun.

Lawrence and Doris Burke attended Mitch and Deann Kammerer’s Harvest Fest north of Wall on Saturday.

Ryan Elshere accompanied Wade Yost and Ty Kennedy to a rodeo in Bowman ND on Friday.  Marcia Arneson visited the Ryan Elshere residence Saturday afternoon.

Larry and Peggy Gravatt returned from Denver CO Monday evening by way of Devils Tower.  On Wednesday, Peggy joined Norma Pellegrin and Marion Case in the Black Hills for a birthday brunch in honor of Marion Case.

John and Jean Linn attended the Excel Camper Convention at Jack’s Campers near Piedmont over the weekend.

Morris Linn had a terribly busy weekend, bouncing back and forth between Shirrise’ high school reunion in Faith and the Buckaroo ride at the Nachtigall ranch near Owanka.  Shirrise and Kassandra spent Friday and Saturday night with Justin and Shara Haines in Faith.  All of the Morris Linns were home by Sunday afternoon.

Jeff Moore visited the Cary Tines residence on Sunday.

Matt Trask had an extremely busy week.  On Friday Bob Bosse and Kayla Roberts of South Dakota Public Television visited the Matt Trask residence and Elm Springs to interview Matt about his website for a TV show.  Matt and crew made stops at the Cary Tines residence, the Lawrence Burke residence and the “Upland Trask” residence.  On Saturday Matt accompanied Robert and Chance Dennis to Newcastle WY to a benefit supper and auction for John Crabtree.  And on Sunday, Matt, a host of “Upland Trasks,” Bonnie and Patty Timmons and Tom Bruch took Amos and Andy for a wagon ride all over the “Upland Trask” place and even visited the Kenny Wilson residence.

Austin Trask accompanied Tom Bruch to various Bruch residences near Stoneville and Bear Butte Friday.  Nick Trask accompanied Clayton and Charlene Kjerstad to Brookings Friday to watch the Jackrabbits play football and also to visit his girlfriend Muriel Kjerstad.  Several of the “Upland Trasks” went to Rapid City Sunday afternoon to visit Stephanie Trask.

The Tyler Wilson family arrived at the Kenny Wilson residence Thursday to spend the weekend.  After the baptism on Friday, Kenny and Janet Wilson hosted Fr. Leo Hausmann and Bart Williamsen for Sunday dinner.  Tyler and his family took a horseback ride Sunday afternoon, and were met by Matt Trask and company.

Melvin and Dorothy Anderson attended the Spirit of the West Festival in Sioux Falls during the week.  On Sunday, they met Jim Thompson and Lew Vasquez in Spearfish where they were presented with a plaque commemorating the recording of Mel’s audio book “Wild Places Wide Apart.”

The kind citizens hope this wind goes away!
