The kind citizens had beautiful weather to be thankful for as they celebrated Thanksgiving.
Before we begin, a correction must be made; Carolyn Anders and Twila Trask visited Jamie Reilly in Clovis, California, not Clovis, New Mexico. Honestly, who knew?
The Marvin Anders and the Rod Anders celebrated Thanksgiving at the Ted and Kathy Thompson residence near Whitewood.
Rod, Kelly and Johnie Jo Anders joined the Al Trasks in Rapid City Saturday night to watch the Festival of Lights parade.
Clyde Arneson is a very thoughtful person. He visited the Cary Tines residence one morning “to give him the answer to a question he asked a couple weeks ago” and was invited in for coffee. Clyde was too busy finding the answer to last week’s question to remember what day he visited the Cary Tines residence.
Lonnie Arneson and Teri Ramsdell hosted Lori Ausdal, Lauren and Kylie Ramsdell, Stuart, Donna, Aaron and Chaz Foss, Mike Ausdal and his girlfriend Mary and Alex and Ansel for Thanksgiving dinner, and the Ryan Elsheres Thanksgiving evening. On Friday they hosted Shawna, Bree and Brayden Eastman and Carter Elshere, who all stayed overnight. The Ryan Elsheres were Saturday morning breakfast visitors at the Lonnie Arneson residence.
Lawrence and Doris Burke had Thanksgiving dinner with Melissa Burke in Rapid City. On Friday, Skyler Burke and Ryan Timme of Rapid City visited the Lawrence Burke’s in the morning, and John and Darlene Wulf visited in the afternoon, bringing a birthday cake for Lawrence.
The Ryan Elsheres visited the Jim and Lana Elsheres for Thanksgiving dinner, trapshooting, and calf riding. Shawna and Brayden Eastman and Clyde Arneson visited the Ryan Elshere residence Friday afternoon.
Lynn and Sandy Fields left Thursday morning for Sioux Falls, to spend Thanksgiving and the rest of the week at the Rob and Heather Langley residence. They returned Sunday, stopping in Mitchell to pick up an auger, which made the rest of the trip very slow.
Sam Johnston was unable to accompany Cary and the kids to the Chris Kling residence near Belle Fourche for Thanksgiving dinner. Matt Trask visited the Sam Johnston residence at breakfast time Sunday morning.
The Andy Linns left Tuesday for Pueblo CO, where they spent the rest of the Thanksgiving week at the Jim Ross residence. They returned Sunday.
John and Jean Linn met Charlie and Carol Linn in Deadwood for Thanksgiving dinner.
Shirrise Linn was a coffee visitor at the Cary Tines residence Monday morning. Morris visited the Scott Simons residence Tuesday, and went to Rapid City Wednesday, while Kassandra spent Wednesday afternoon at the “Big House.” Matt Trask was a dinner and supper guest at the Morris Linns Friday. On Saturday, the Morris Linns hosted the Simons clan, Grandma Margaret, Grandma Arlene, Dayton Shannon, Deb, Amber and Jaren Brookman, Amanda Bungee and Dylan, Clyde Arneson, and Matt, Nick, Steph and Julie Trask for a Thanksgiving feast. Deb Brookman spent Saturday night at the Morris Linn residence, and Cheryl Simons arrived on Sunday to spend Sunday night.
David Smith arrived home from Arkansas Tuesday to spend the rest of the Thanksgiving week with the Jim Smiths. Andrew Smith arrived from Pierre on Wednesday. Both left on Sunday, David on a plane and Andrew in a car.
Samantha Scott, Coby Tines, and Matt Trask visited the Cary Tines residence Monday evening. Samantha Scott and Coby Tines returned Tuesday evening. Coby Tines and Matt and John Paul Trask visited Wednesday evening. The Cary Tines’ had Thanksgiving dinner at the “Brustol AFB” before going to New Underwood to visit at the Danny Hall residence. John Tines, Amanda Humphrey and Lainee Mae visited Friday aftenoon. John Slagel and grandson of Rapid City visited the Cary Tines residence Saturday and Sunday.
The Al Trasks went to Rapid City on Thanksgiving day to visit Taryn Yantes at the Paul Yantes residence and volunteer at the Knights of Columbus Thanksgiving banquet. They enjoyed Thanksgiving supper at the “Upland Trask” residence. On Sunday, they returned to visit the “Upland Trasks” before going to Rapid City to visit a friend of Bridget’s.
Several of the “Upland Trasks” attended the Wall High School athletics banquet in Wall Tuesday night, just as John Paul arrived home from Winona, MN. The “Upland Trasks” got up bright and early Thanksgiving morning to attend the Turkey Trot 5K run in Rapid City, before eating at Perkins and volunteering at the Knights of Columbus Thanksgiving banquet. They hosted Thanksgiving supper with the Al Trasks, Ray Olson, and Sean Troxel in attendance. RoseMary, Nick and Steph Trask went to Rapid City Saturday. On his way home, Nick visited Patrick Wilson Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, Paul and Megan Yantes of Rapid City visited the “Upland Trask” residence to take a family picture.
The “Elk Creek Trasks” celebrated Thanksgiving with a handful of deerhunters. Katie Nelson, Alex Moos and Tyler Trask spent Thanksgiving weekend at the “Upland Trask” residence, and John Paul Trask visited Saturday night.
Melvin and Dorothy Anderson went to Rapid City Tuesday, where they had dinner with Fritz and Mary Judson and then hung around til supper time, which they shared with Jim and Caroline Wilsey. On Wednesday they returned to Rapid City to eat with Doug, Kirsten and baby Blythe Cayco of Aurora, CO and Taylor Anderson of Spearfish. Melvi and Dorothy hosted the Fred Karp family for Thanksgiving dinner. John Wayne and Sheridan Deering and a handful of deer hunters visited the Melvin Anderson residence on Sunday.
The kind citizens hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.
