Here in Elm Springs the heat has become so unbearable that the Catholic kind citizens dusted off their long-forgotten air conditioner and stuck it in the window of St. Margarets Church. Father Hausmann remarked that the air conditioning, and the parishioners vying for a seat up front, were both very refreshing.

Susan Cheney Dedekam and her daughter of Beulah, ND were visitors at the Marvin Anders residence Thursday. The Rod Anders and the Casey Trasks were all supper guests at the Marvin Anders residence Saturday night.

Clyde Arneson attended the Tuffy Horton funeral in Sturgis Saturday.

And Clyde was a coffee visitor at the Lawrence Burke residence, “along about Thursday, I guess,” says Doris.

Lonnie Arneson and Tere Ramsdell went to Deadwood Saturday night.

Peggy Gravatt’s cousin Milt Davis and wife Tommie of Albuquerque, NM visited the Larry Gravatt residence Friday. Brad Bookbinder spent Saturday night at the Larry Gravatt residence on his way back to Rapid City from Sioux Falls.

The Sam Johnstons attended the Wall Playdays rodeo on Thursday, where the kids competed. Cary and the kids left Friday for Keyhole Lake near Gilette, WY to meet Billie Jo Winkus and her family. And Sam Johnston was a dinner guest at the “Upland Trask” residence Saturday.

The Andy Linns attended the funeral of Karen Brunsch on Tuesday in Rapid City. Jamie, Kaley, Logan and Zach Brunsch came out to the Andy Linn residence Friday to spend the weekend.

John and Jean Linn attended the Meade County Republican picnic at the Schneider residence near Tilford Sunday.

Nick Trask was a dinner guest at the Morris Linn residence Monday. Clyde Arneson was a coffee visitor Wednesday, and Celine and Maria Trask came over to play with Kassandra in the afternoon. Shirrise and Kassandra went to Rapid City Friday where they met Sandy Van Vleck for lunch and then visited Grandma Arlene Talley before attending the Arts Festival in Spearfish. Kassandra spent Friday night at the “Big House.” Saturday, in addition to hosting Maria and Celine Trask again Shirrise hosted at various intervals, Steph and Julie Trask and Tracey Orsburn, Matt Trask, and Jean Linn before the birthday bash at the “Upland Trask” residence. Clyde Arneson was a dinner guest at the Morris Linns Sunday.

Tim and Linda Haugen, JW Wrachford, Andy Linn and Matt Trask were all visitors at the Cary Tines residence Thursday evening.

Steph Trask and Tracey Orsburn arrived at the “Upland Trask” residence from Colorado Springs, CO Saturday morning. Saturday night, the “Upland Trasks” hosted a birthday party for Shirrise Linn. In addition to the birthday girl and her family and Steph and Tracey, the Al Trasks, Patrick Wilson and Ray Olson attended. On Sunday, Matt Trask and Tracey Orsburn visited Wall Drug while most of the “Upland Trasks” went to Rapid City. When Matt and Tracey arrived back, Tracey accompanied RoseMary to Rapid City for an evening of mini golf.

Matt Trask got internet access and long distance telephone service at his house Thursday, and then discovered that his water heater had sprung a leak. He got a new water heater Saturday. Tracey Orsburn visited the Matt Trask residence Sunday.

Philip and Patrick Wilson went on a shopping trip to Phillip Saturday.

The kind citizens hope you have a good air conditioner!
