The kind citizens capped a beautiful week by celebrating the risen Savior on a gorgeous Easter Sunday. It truly was a week of dazzling weather here in Elm Springs.
Marvin and Carolyn Anders hosted Easter dinner with the Rod Anders, the Casey Trasks, Larry and Chris Insley of Creighton and Jo Strong of Union Center.
Clyde Arneson accompanied Morris and Andy Linn to the Baker Bull Sale near Belle Fourche on Monday and then accompanied Andy and Morris to the Trask/Shearer Bull Sale near Creighton on Wednesday.
Lawrence and Doris Burke had Easter dinner in Wall.
Matt Trask did his Guitar for Food thing again at the Ryan Elshere residence Tuesday night. Sunday, the Ryan Elshere’s joined the Elshere family for Easter dinner at the Paul and Joy Elshere residence.
Lynn and Sandy Fields hosted daughter Heather and Rob Langley and family over the Easter weekend.
Peggy Gravatt left Friday for Minneapolis, MN to see her dad and sister. Jack and Larry went to the Byron and Cherry Denke residence for Easter dinner.
Matt Trask also did his Guitar for Food thing at the Andy Linn residence Thursday night. Friday, Kellie Linn accompanied Carrie Johnston to a 40th birthday party for Jody Moreland at the bed and breakfast near Opal. And the Andy Linns were once again visited by Matt Trask on Sunday night, who was out of chewing tobacco.
John and Jean Linn hosted Brett and Charlotte Wilsey and girls and Charlie and Carol Linn over the Easter weekend and the above plus Morris and Kassandra and the Andy Linns for Easter dinner.
Shirrise Linn was gone all week with her mother in Rochester MN. Poor Morris did his best in her absence.
The Brady O’Rourkes hosted the Bud Pauleys for Easter dinner and an afternoon of fun and games Sunday.
And the Bud Pauleys attended the horse races in Ft. Pierre on Saturday.
Matt Trask was a guest of the Cary Tines’ several days in a row. John and Ty Tines and Amanda Humphrey were supper guests at the Cary Tines residence Saturday night, and the Tines’ joined their extended family at the Kay Williams residence in New Underwood for Easter dinner.
Robert, Kylee and Kaleb Shape of Belle Fourche were visitors to the “Upland Trasks” Thursday morning. Patrick Wilson accompanied Al Trask and his truck to Minnesota over the weekend. The “Upland Trasks” celebrated Easter with Ray Olsen and Joe and Iola Carter of Custer.
And the Little Boys revived the Easter Camping Trip started by the Big Boys several years ago. Easter Campers, besides the Little Boys, were Coby Tines, Baxter and Dunny Anders, Jace Shearer of Wall, Kyle Barber of Owanka, and Colton Derr of New Underwood.
Jim and Caroline Wilsey met the Kent Wilsey family of Oklahoma City, OK, in Grand Island, NE where they spent the weekend.
Kenny and Janet Wilson hosted the Philip Wilsons, the Bruce Kroetch’s, the Kevin Howlands, the Tucky Tifts, and the Steve Daly’s for Easter dinner.
JW and Dara Wrachford attended the Easter get-together at the Kay Williams residence Sunday.
Melvin and Dorothy Anderson visited Melvins sister Betty Schrempp at her home near Eagle Butte Friday. Sunday, they had dinner at the Audey Anderson residence near Opal before going to visit Betty again.
