After two weeks of the Black Hills Stock Show and Super Bowl Sunday, and with the fact that the weather was rather cold this past week, the kind citizens were very willing to stay close to the fire.
Some of the kind citizens attended the legislative crackerbarrel meeting and/or the Meade County Farm Bureau meeting Sunday afternoon in Union Center.
Clyde Arneson was a supper guest at the Morris Linn residence Saturday night, where he was beaten “several times” at cribbage.
Carter Elshere spent Friday night and part of Saturday at the Lonnie Arneson residence.
Lawrence and Doris Burke went to Rapid City on business Wednesday.
The Sam Johnstons attended the Wall Eagles basketball game in Wall on Tuesday night. Carter Elshere and his sled visited the Sam Johnston residence Thursday afternoon. And the Sam Johnstons traveled to Kadoka to watch the Wall Eagles play basketball on Friday night.
Shirrise Linn attended a stamp party at the Kim Smiley residence Monday, and Matt Trask was a supper guest at the Morris Linns Monday night. Morris went to Rapid City on Tuesday. Bunny Bail was a dinner guest at the Morris Linns Wednesday, while Morris and Kassandra visited the Cary Tines residence Wednesday afternoon. Amber Brookman of Rapid City arrived at the Morris Linn residence Friday afternoon to spend the weekend. Matt Trask joined the Linns again for supper Friday night. Clyde Arneson was a coffee visitor Sunday morning, and Amber left Sunday afternoon, just in time to be replaced by Matt Trask again.
Cary and Pam Tines spent Saturday night in Deadwood. While they were gone, Matt Trask was a supper guest at their house Saturday night and a coffee visitor Sunday morning. John Paul Trask visited Sunday afternoon.
RoseMary and Celine Trask went to Wall Tuesday night to watch the Wall Eagles play basketball. Nick and Steph Trask left for Pierre Wednesday afternoon to attend a legislative session. John Paul Trask arrived at the “Upland Trask” residence Friday night from Winona, MN. Several of the “Upland Trasks” went to Philip on Saturday to watch Joe wrestle at the district tournament.
Mark and Mick Trask won their respective weight classes at the district tournament in Philip Saturday.
Jim and Caroline Wilsey went to Rapid City on business Monday. Ashley Wilsey, now of Wisconsin, arrived at the Jim Wilsey residence Wednesday to spend a few days.
Kenny and Janet Wilson attended the district gymnastics tournament in Chamberlain on Saturday to watch Kelli Wilson and the Wall Eagles gymnasts compete.
Several members of the Dakota Trophies hunting organization attended a sports show in Las Vegas, NV over the week.
The Wicksville Workers Club would like to remind you again of their pancake supper at the Wicksville Church from 5 to 7 pm on Saturday, February 16th.
The kind citizens promise that if the weather warms up, they will get out and do more stuff.
