Once again, the violent wind made certain tasks very unpleasant, if not altogether impossible in Elm Springs during the week.

Rich Blazeski of Pine Bush, NY, a member of the New York Fire Department, visited the Elm Springs School on Tuesday afternoon.

The Elm Springs People Who Play Cards met for their November court whist game at the Lynn and Sandy Fields residence Wednesday night. Caroline Wilsey got the high score for the night, and RoseMary Trask, substituting for Steph Trask who had agreed to substitute for Morris Linn, won the booby prize.

Carolyn Anders and Twila Trask returned to South Dakota Tuesday from Sacramento, CA where they had gone to watch nephew Klint Kling play in a college football game. They also visited niece Jamie Reilly in Clovis, NM.

Cory Levine was a supper guest Tuesday evening at the Lonnie Arneson residence.

Malcolm Price and his crew arrived Thursday morning at the Lawrence Burke residence to begin installing a new roof. They were joined for coffee by Clyde Arneson. On Saturday, hunter Skyler Burke of Rapid City and his buddy Tyler Neiderwerder of New Underwood had breakfast at the Lawrence Burke residence.

Ross Brunskill of Philip was a supper guest at the Ryan Elshere residence Monday night.

Kassandra Linn began gymnastics in Union Center Tuesday, and visited Jack and Cheryl Simons with her mother afterwards. Shirrise and Kassandra went to Wall Wednesday and Rapid City on Thursday, where they visited the Wilsey residence. Shirrise visited the Kei Oberlander residence on Saturday and Matt Trask was a visitor at the Morris Linn residence on Sunday.

The Cary Tines residence hosted a horde of people wishing Pam well after her surgery. Coby Tines returned home Tuesday; the Tines’ were visited by Monte Reichert and Marty Neiderwerder on Wednesday, Max and Sarah Miller of Douglas WY on Thursday, RoseMary and Gemma Trask and Shirrise Linn on Friday, Scott Simons, Todd Keffeler and Natalie Termes on Saturday and John Tines, Amanda Humphrey and Lainee Mae on Sunday.

Matt Trask visited Al and Bridget’s Castle Saturday night. On Sunday, the Al Trasks visited the Paul Yantes residence in Rapid City.

The “Upland Trasks” had a busy week. Rich, Joe, Chris and Dan of New York were supper guests at the “Upland Trask” residence Tuesday night, as was Tracey Orsburn of Colorado Springs, CO. Tracey Kluck of Vale and Jack Simons of Enning visited Wednesday. Julie Trask arrived from Ft. Collins Friday night. David Kalil and Sean Troxel visited the “Upland Trask” residence Saturday. Saturday night, several “Upland Trasks” went to Rapid City, where they met with Natasha Bentz of Billings, MT for a visit at the Bob Trask residence in Rapid City. Natasha Bentz visited the “Upland Trask” residence on Sunday, as did Coby Tines.

Matt Trask accompanied Matt Kelly and Dewey and Josh O’Dea to Sturgis Thursday, where they visited the Kathy O’Dea residence before going to Rapid City. Matt spent Thursday night at the Matt Kelly residence in Rapid City before and returned to Elm Springs Friday evening.

Jim and Caroline Wilsey hosted hunters Harland and Carol Fawcett of Bismarck, ND, Brad and Camille Fawcett of Byron, MN, John and Deb Mariner of Pine Island, MN, and Colin Mariner of Broomfield CO over the weekend.

And Melvin and Dorothy Anderson hosted Richard and Trent Stromberg and Bruce Blumenthal of Los Angeles, CA over the weekend.
