ESN; End of Summer
The Central States Fair in Rapid City marked the end of summer for many in Elm Springs. Our last great hurrah is next weekend, but the children are already being lost to school.
The Marvin Anders’ joined the Casey Trasks at the Rod Anders residence Wednesday evening for a barbeque. On Saturday, Carolyn Anders, Shirley and Courtney Trask, Pam Livermont, Colleen Peterson, Twila Trask and Cary Johnston met Kirk and Kathy Cordes and Wilbur and Jean Bachand in Hill City to “celebrate birthdays.”
Clyde and Connie Arneson attended the Range Days Rodeo at the Fair on Thursday.
Lawrence and Doris Burke visited the Artist Ride at the Schearer Ranch on Saturday.
Peggy Gravatt went to Rapid City Monday to take her dad Ray out to lunch. On Wednesday, Larry and Peggy went to Rapid City to pick up grandchildren Madi, Steele and Sarah. Thursday and Saturday were spent at the Gravatt residence while they all went to Rapid City to see the Fair on Friday and to drop the kids off on Sunday.
Charlotte, Laura and Katie Wilsey spent the weekend at the “Big House.”
Shirrise and Kassandra Linn went to Rapid City Monday and Wednesday to keep appointments, have lunch with Marsha Pluth and work at the Fair. They came home long enough to pick up Morris, leaving Friday to spend the rest of the week in Rapid City, visiting the Fair, the Gene and Marsha Pluth residence and the Nick and Al Trask employee appreciation party.
Cary and Pam Tines visited the Artist Ride at the Schearer Ranch Saturday afternoon. Matt Trask visited the Cary Tines residence Sunday afternoon.
The Al Trasks went to Rapid City Saturday afternoon to attend the above mentioned employee appreciation party.
Matt and Becky Trask attended the Brandon Cronin/Sally Mickelson wedding rehearsal in White Owl Friday night, as Becky was the maid of honor. Matt subsequently got conscripted as an usher, and so he and Becky were in White Owl bright and early the next morning to help with the wedding. RoseMary and Maria Trask also attended. Saturday afternoon, Matt visited the John Timmons residence.
RoseMary and several of the Trask girls helped at the Knights of Columbus Snack Shack at the Fair Thursday evening. Julie Trask returned home from Ft. Collins CO Saturday for the weekend. Saturday evening, Nick and Al Trask hosted their employee appreciation party in Rapid City and the Elk Creek Steakhouse, with Steph, Julie, Joe and Austin Trask, Ty and Coby Tines and girlfriends, Muriel Kjerstad, the Morris Linns, and probably several others in attendance. Sunday several of the “Upland Trasks” went to Brookings to see Joe off to school.
Tom, Kelly and Ben Wilsey visited the Jim Wilsey residence over the weekend on their way to Spearfish to drop young Ben off at college.
The kind citizens hope you have a lovely week.
