Occasionally groups of kind citizens attend outside social functions in such small numbers that they do not warrant being called “several.”
So it was this week, as some of the kind citizens attended the funeral of Elizabeth “Gammies” Shearer in Wall on Thursday, some of the kind citizens attended the RDO customer appreciation lunch (more…)

The weather in this weeks ESN was as unremarkable as the news itself, because not much happened in either department. Sunday was cold and windy.
The Elm Springs People who Play Cards met Wednesday at the Elm Springs Fire Hall for the February card game, hosted by Lawrence Burke and Clyde Arneson. Jim Smith got the high score and Marvin Anders and Julie Trask, playing for Morris Linn, tied for the booby prize.

After two weeks of the Black Hills Stock Show and Super Bowl Sunday, and with the fact that the weather was rather cold this past week, the kind citizens were very willing to stay close to the fire.
