While the people of Hermosa clear the mud off their doorsteps, and while the people of Piedmont remove the icicles from their automobiles, the kind citizens of Elm Springs are forced to smile over the fact that they received twenty hundredths of an inch of rain over the weekend. No one is really happy, it seems.

Some of the kind citizens attended the fifth annual Cammack Ranch Supply Ranchers Roundup on Saturday in Union Center. The evening entertainment was Montana singer and humorist Ken Overcast.

A bunch of the kind citizens seem to be saving their social energy for that beautiful day in the future when the weather has moderated. The future, by the way, seems to be a long way off.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, although somewhat smaller this year, has not escaped notice even in Elm Springs. Three of the “Upland Trasks” encountered a pair of motorcyclers on the Elk Creek bottom near the Freddy Ferguson residence.
